Restaurant Scenting in Italy
BENDIS sells professional scent diffusers, odour neutraliser and fragrances made in Spain to restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and aperitivo bars across Italy. A dining room of up to 120 m² is scented with a FLOW at €79.99 including VAT, which is yours from day one. It arrives already set up within 7 days at most and you control it from the app. No installation, no building work, no visits.
In Italy food is the star and nobody wants a fragrance to steal the show. So in an Italian restaurant scent is used at the entrance, waiting area and restrooms, at low intensity with pauses during service. In a Neapolitan pizzeria the smell of the wood-fired oven is part of the business: there we only touch the restrooms. We never put a diffuser in the kitchen, because food hygiene rules (the HACCP system compulsory across Italian hospitality) require chemicals to be kept away from food.
Where it shows most is in the aperitivo bars of Milan or Turin, the cocktail bars of Rome and the venues of hotels and beach clubs in the south, where atmosphere sells as much as the menu. In summer, with humid heat and air conditioning from June to September, scent spreads well through a closed venue. In the stone osterie of Bologna, Verona or Genoa, with cool cellars and little ventilation, the problem is usually damp, and you start with the neutraliser.

What restaurant scenting costs in Italy
In Italy we sell the equipment: you pay once and it is yours. The monthly plan with the diffuser included is only available in Spain and Portugal. Purchase prices including VAT:

Which diffuser do I need for a restaurant in Italy?
For a dining room of up to 120 m² the FLOW (€79.99); for an aperitivo bar of up to 100 m² the LUME (€109.99); for a venue of up to 600 m² the ORBIT (€149.99). In restrooms a PULSE with neutraliser (€72.99). Prices include VAT.
Does the scent interfere with the food?
Not when set up properly: clean, not-too-sweet fragrances, low intensity and pauses during service. In pizzerias with wood-fired ovens or restaurants with very aromatic cooking we only scent the entrance and restrooms.
Can the damp smell of an old venue be removed?
Yes, with the neutraliser, which removes the odour molecule instead of covering it. It is the first thing we install in cellars and poorly ventilated stone rooms.
How long does shipping to Italy take, and are there customs fees?
7 calendar days at most from confirmation, with tracking. Shipping within the European Union: no customs, VAT included. It costs €19.90 up to 2 kg.
Is there a rental or monthly plan in Italy?
No. The monthly plan with equipment and fragrance is only offered in Spain and Portugal. In Italy you buy the unit and can subscribe to the fragrance for 10% less.
