You buy the diffuser once, from 79,99 € including VAT for a space up to 120 m², it arrives configured within 7 days at most and you control it from the app. No installation.
On the Costa Smeralda, between Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and Baja Sardinia, high season is short and packed: from late June to early September everything is full, and the rest of the year many villas and hotels are closed or running at half speed. Private villas stay shut for months, and on the first day of a rental they smell of damp and salt. Large yachts moor in the Porto Cervo marina, and the fashion boutiques on the Promenade du Port compete for customers who notice everything.
The maestrale, the north-west wind, blows hard and carries off any scent on terraces and in open areas, so the fragrance works indoors: reception, lounges, bedrooms, spa and shops. Large resorts have ducted air conditioning and many common areas; villas have big living rooms and several bathrooms. In Cagliari and Alghero the pace is year-round, with city hotels, clinics, offices and restaurants open all year.

In Italy you buy the unit: you pay once and it is yours. The monthly plan with the diffuser included is only available in Spain and Portugal. Purchase prices including VAT:

Fragrance refills: 150 ml for 29,99 € and 250 ml for 34,99 €. With the monthly subscription for the same size you pay 10 % less (26,99 € and 31,49 €) and can cancel anytime. Shipping to Italy, Sardinia included: 19,90 € per parcel up to 2 kg.
A typical Sardinia example: a holiday villa on the Costa Smeralda with a 110 m² living room and four en-suite bedrooms. One FLOW in the living room (79,99 €) and one PULSE with neutralizer in each bathroom (291,96 €): 371,95 € one time. In winter you switch it off from the app and it costs nothing.

Frequently asked questions about scenting in Sardinia
How much does it cost to scent a villa or a resort on the Costa Smeralda?
In a villa, a FLOW (79,99 €) covers a living room up to 120 m² and a PULSE with neutralizer (72,99 €) each bathroom. In a resort, the lobby takes an ORBIT (up to 600 m², 149,99 €) or, if there are ducts, a HALO (up to 800 m², 194,99 €). VAT included and paid once; after that you only pay for fragrance.
My villa only opens in summer: is it worth it?
Yes, precisely because of that. The unit is yours, so you pay nothing in winter. A few days before the first guest you switch it on from the app with the neutralizer to clear the closed-up smell, then move on to the fragrance for the whole season.
Can it be used on a yacht moored in Porto Cervo?
Yes, in cabins and indoor saloons with a power socket, with the boat moored. A ROAM (59,99 €) for each cabin and a PULSE with neutralizer for the heads. Leave it somewhere fixed where it can't tip over and switch it off from the app when you head out to sea.
How long does delivery to Sardinia take, and are there customs duties?
One week at most (7 calendar days) from order confirmation, and you get the tracking number by e-mail as soon as it ships. Sardinia is part of Italy and the European Union, so there are no customs or duties and VAT is already included in the price. Shipping costs 19,90 € per parcel up to 2 kg. Better to order in May than in July.
Is there a monthly diffuser rental in Italy?
No. The monthly scenting plan with unit and fragrance included (what many people search for as diffuser rental) is only available in Spain and Portugal. In Italy you buy the diffuser, it's yours, and if you like you subscribe to the fragrance for 10 % less, cancel anytime.
