Professional scenting in Porto

BENDIS is a professional scenting company based in Madrid that makes its fragrances in Spain and publishes its prices. In Porto it offers a monthly scenting plan from €29.90 + VAT, with diffuser and fragrance included, no installation and no minimum term, for hotels, restaurants, cafés, offices, gyms, clinics and shops.

Porto is granite, river and Atlantic. The buildings in Ribeira, Baixa or Cedofeita are beautiful, but stone and the damp coming off the Douro mean plenty of ground floors smell closed-up as soon as autumn arrives. In a hotel or short-term rental in the historic centre, that musty smell on the stairs is the first thing a guest notices, suitcase still in hand.

Food is the city's other big story. Francesinha houses, tascas and the seafood restaurants of Matosinhos cook in full view, and the smell of the grill ends up in the dining room, on the customers' clothes and in the restroom. The answer is not a stronger perfume: you put a neutralizer where the smell starts and a discreet note at the entrance. In Vila Nova de Gaia, with its wine cellars and wine shops, it is the other way round: a scent that goes along with the place without covering it.

In Boavista and along Avenida da Boavista there are offices, clinics and gyms with air conditioning running all day and little natural ventilation. The diffuser arrives configured, with the fragrance included, ready to plug in. No building work and no technician visit: we advise you remotely, by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail, from photos and the size of the space.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to scent a space in Porto?

From €29.90 + VAT a month per unit, fragrance included. A space up to 100 m² is €37.90 + VAT a month with the LUME, and one up to 120 m² is €39.90 + VAT with the FLOW. It is the BENDIS monthly scenting plan, what the industry calls renting.

What do I do about kitchen smells in a Porto restaurant?

Don't cover them up. A neutralizer goes where the smell is created (kitchen, corridor, restrooms) and, if you like, a soft fragrance at the entrance. For a dining room up to 120 m², the FLOW costs €39.90 + VAT a month.

Does someone come to install it?

There is no need. The diffuser arrives configured for your space and with the fragrance you chose: place it and plug it in. All advice is given remotely, by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail.

Can I try the fragrances before deciding?

Yes. With the first order we send 5 ml samples so you can choose the fragrance in your own space, with your own light and your own people.

Is there a minimum term?

No. The plan is monthly and you cancel with 30 days' notice. It is available in mainland Portugal, so Porto, Gaia, Matosinhos or Maia are all covered.
