In Amsterdam many boutique hotels occupy grachtenpanden: narrow canal houses with steep stairs and receptions of a few square metres. There is no room for a large unit and no point in building work: a LUME at the entrance and a SENSE per floor do the job. In Rotterdam, with its modern architecture, and in the business hotels of The Hague and Utrecht, many buildings have balanced mechanical ventilation, where one unit on the ducts scents several areas from a single point.

The Dutch climate is damp and mild almost all year. With rain, wet coats and carpets, a musty smell builds up in receptions and corridors as soon as ventilation drops, so we often pair fragrance in the lobby with odour neutraliser in cloakrooms and restrooms. What hotel scenting costs in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands we sell the equipment: you pay once and it is yours. The monthly plan with the diffuser included is only available in Spain and Portugal. Purchase prices including VAT:

Hotel scenting in the Netherlands: FAQ

How much does hotel scent marketing cost in the Netherlands?

A lobby is scented with an ORBIT (up to 600 m²) for €149.99, a hotel with ventilation ducts with a HALO (up to 800 m²) for €194.99. In a canal house a LUME and one or two SENSE units usually suffice. Prices include VAT.

Can the diffuser be connected to the mechanical ventilation?

Yes. The HALO, ATMOS and NOVA connect to the supply ducts without building work, usually after the heat recovery unit, in the air going to the common areas.

How long does shipping to the Netherlands take, and are there customs fees?

7 calendar days at most from confirmation, with email tracking. The Netherlands is in the European Union: no customs, VAT included. Shipping costs €19.90 up to 2 kg.

Can I rent scent diffusers in the Netherlands?

No. The monthly plan with equipment and fragrance is only offered in Spain and Portugal. In the Netherlands you buy the unit and can subscribe to the fragrance for 10% less.

What if the hotel smells musty?

Start with the neutraliser where the smell builds up (cloakroom, basement, restrooms) and keep the fragrance for reception and corridors. Spraying fragrance over damp works worse than doing nothing.
