What drives the price of scenting a lobby: square metres, ceiling and air
The price doesn't depend on whether the space is a hotel, a clinic or an office. It depends on the square metres to cover, the ceiling height and whether the air is split into several zones. A 120 m² lobby costs the same as a 120 m² waiting room. That's why rates are set by unit coverage and not by sector. You'll find them all in the professional scenting price index.
A double-height lobby with automatic doors and the air conditioning on full loses scent much faster than an enclosed space of the same size. In that case the fee doesn't go up: intensity and schedule are adjusted, or you move up one coverage level.

In most lobbies the decision is between SENSE, LUME and FLOW. Above 120 m² ORBIT comes in, and if the hotel wants to scent through the ducts, ATMOS or HALO (we explain it in how to connect a diffuser to the HVAC). What fragrance costs if you buy the unit
With the subscription, each month's fragrance is included and the monthly figure is final. If you buy the unit, refills are paid separately:
- Perfumery fragrances and neutraliser: €29.99 (150 ml) and €34.99 (250 ml).
- Classic line (Green Tea, Fig, Orange Blossom and others): €24.99 (150 ml) and €29.99 (250 ml).
Duration is approximate and depends on intensity, schedule and square metres. As a reference, 250 ml lasts about 1 month with the unit running 24 hours at high intensity. Example 1: boutique hotel with a 150 m² lobby, corridor and two restrooms
The solution is 2 FLOW units spread between lobby and corridor, and 2 PULSE units for the restrooms. The restrooms get PULSE because they're small and enclosed: a 120 m² unit there would saturate the air.
- With the scenting subscription: €139.60 + VAT per month, fragrance included, before the volume discount that applies from three units.
- Buying: €305.96 upfront investment, plus roughly 600 ml of fragrance per month in approximate consumption, between €72 and €84 per month depending on the fragrance line.
Example 2: open-plan 150 m² lobby with a single unit
A 150 m² lobby exceeds the FLOW's coverage. With a single nebuliser, the unit is ORBIT; if it's scented through the ducts, ATMOS. Figures for ORBIT:
- Scenting subscription: €54.90 + VAT per month, unit and fragrance included. Twelve months: €658.80 + VAT. No minimum term.
- Purchase: ORBIT €149.99 once, plus about 300 ml of fragrance per month (1.2 refills of 250 ml at €34.99 with perfumery fragrance or neutraliser), about €42 per month. First year: about €654, VAT included. With the classic line (€29.99), about €36 per month and about €582 the first year.
The most expensive mistake: a small unit in a large lobby
The most common mistake is covering a 150 m² lobby with a single 80 m² unit. On paper it saves a few euros; in practice the unit runs at full power, uses more fragrance, smells strong next to the diffuser and the rest of the lobby barely smells at all. The coverage in the table is the effective one: if the space exceeds it, you move up a model or place two units apart.
Scenting subscription or purchase: when each one pays off
The subscription works like a professional equipment rental: it includes the nebuliser configured for your square metres, all the fragrance it uses each month whatever the model (made in Spain, with a change of scent whenever you want), and shipping. There's no minimum term, you cancel with 30 days' notice and there's no building work or installation cost. From three units there's a volume discount. It's the logical choice for high season or for a hotel that doesn't want to tie up cash.
If the project is stable and runs all year, buying is usually cheaper for small and medium units: at the reference consumption, the purchase pays for itself against the subscription in around 3 to 8 months depending on the model. For the WAVE and NOVA towers, which use a lot of fragrance, the subscription usually works out better because it already includes that consumption. If you buy, refills, cleaning the nebuliser every 3 months and any unit replacement are at your expense.
