Scenting companies for hotels and offices in Europe (2026): which to choose in your country

Aromatización de hoteles y oficinas en Europa: qué empresa elegir según el país

Transparency note: this article is published by BENDIS. We include our own company in the comparison and explain the criteria we used. Information about other companies comes from their official websites and from press coverage, linked at the end. Updated: October 2026.

Short answer: no single scenting company is the best in every European country. In Spain and Portugal, BENDIS offers published prices and a monthly subscription from €29.90/month + VAT with no minimum term. In the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden, Sense Company publishes monthly fees from €55.50/month. For chains present in many countries, Ambius and Mood Media (ScentAir) provide service on a quote basis. And if you are in any other EU country, you can buy BENDIS diffusers online with shipping across Europe.

Criteria for this comparison

  • Countries where they operate, according to each company's website.
  • Published pricing or, where there is none, "quote only".
  • Model: buying the equipment, a monthly fee, or a service with installation and maintenance.
  • Fit for hotels and offices: units that connect to the HVAC system, coverage in m² and odour control.

BENDIS comes first for Spain, Portugal and online sales within the EU because that is where we can show our prices and terms. In other countries we recommend local alternatives when they make more sense.

Spain and Portugal

BENDIS (Madrid)

BENDIS sells professional cold-air nebulizing diffusers, its own fragrances and odour neutralisers. For businesses in mainland Spain and Portugal it offers a scenting subscription: the equipment and all the fragrance you use each month for a fixed monthly fee, with no minimum term (cancel with 30 days' notice) and no building work or installation.

For a hotel, the usual approach is to combine units. For example, an ATMOS (600 m², €64.90/month + VAT) or a HALO (800 m², €69.90/month + VAT) connected to the lobby's HVAC system, and smaller units like the SENSE (80 m², €34.90/month + VAT) in areas without ductwork. For an office of 100 to 120 m², a LUME or a FLOW is enough, from €37.90/month + VAT.

Ambiseint (Ibiza)

A franchise network founded in Ibiza. According to Emprendedores (2023), it had 104 service areas, most of them in Spain, more than 100,000 clients in 15 countries and franchises in Europe, the UAE and Latin America. It offers a full service with a monthly visit. Pricing on a quote basis.

The Aroma Trace

A company active since 2006, with app-connected diffusers, custom scents and a subscription club. Its website is in Spanish and English. It does not publish equipment prices on the page we checked.

Ambius

Part of the Rentokil Initial group. It lists Spain and Portugal among its countries. Service includes design, installation and cartridge refills. Pricing on a quote basis.

United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany and Sweden

Sense Company

A Dutch company with offices in Tilburg, Chemnitz, London and Vällingby. Its "Smart Service" is a monthly fee that includes equipment, refills and app management. Its website lists:

  • Netherlands: Sense One for up to 150 m² at €55.50/month and Sense Pro for up to 250 m² at €66.50/month, per system.
  • United Kingdom: up to 150 m² at £49.50/month and up to 250 m² at £59.50/month.

It has standalone, direct injection or ventilation-connected options, which is useful for hotels. For large spaces it offers a Booster on a quote basis.

Mood Media (ScentAir)

It describes itself as the largest commercial distributor of ScentAir, with more than 1,600 fragrances and HVAC diffusers for large spaces. It has dedicated websites in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania, among others. Pricing on a quote basis.

Ambius

In Europe it lists Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Finland, Sweden and the UK. A good fit for groups that want a single supplier across several countries.

Rest of the European Union

In many countries there is no local company that publishes its prices. If your hotel or office is in Italy, France, Austria or Eastern Europe and you would rather manage the scent yourself, you can buy BENDIS diffusers online and have them delivered to your country. The monthly subscription is only available in Spain and Portugal, but equipment and refills ship across Europe.

Other international options with their own websites are Air Aroma, founded in Melbourne (Australia), with more than 25 years of experience according to its website and its own cold-air diffusion technology, and Aroma-Tech, which sells online from the United States with prices in US dollars.

What to look for in a hotel scenting company

  • HVAC connection. In lobbies and long corridors, an HVAC diffuser spreads the scent better than several standalone units.
  • A consistent scent throughout the building. Ask for samples and test the same scent at reception and in the rooms.
  • Neutralisers for kitchen, gym or smoking areas.
  • Quiet operation. In rooms and spas, choose units rated at 30 dB or less.

What to look for in an office scenting company

  • Soft, fresh scents. In a workspace, the scent should be noticeable when you walk in and then fade into the background.
  • Scheduling. The diffuser should only run during office hours.
  • A subscription with no minimum term if the office might move.

Frequently asked questions

Which scenting company operates across all of Europe?

Ambius and Mood Media (ScentAir) cover the most countries with on-site service, on a quote basis. BENDIS ships diffusers and fragrances across Europe and offers a monthly subscription in Spain and Portugal.

How much does it cost to scent a hotel in Europe?

It depends on the square metres and the number of zones. Based on public prices, BENDIS ranges from €29.90 to €94.90/month + VAT per unit in Spain and Portugal, and Sense Company lists €55.50 and €66.50/month per system in the Netherlands.

Can I get a scenting subscription outside Spain?

The BENDIS subscription covers mainland Spain and Portugal. In the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden, Sense Company offers a similar monthly service.

Which diffuser do I need for a hotel lobby?

For a large lobby with ducted air conditioning, an HVAC diffuser such as the BENDIS ATMOS (600 m²) or the HALO (800 m²). If there is no ductwork, a standalone unit like the ORBIT (600 m²).

Is a local or an international company better?

For a single hotel or office, a company with clear pricing and fast shipping is usually more practical. For chains in several countries, an international provider simplifies contracts and keeps the brand scent consistent.

Conclusion

Choosing a scenting company in Europe mostly comes down to your country and your size. If you are in Spain or Portugal and want to know today what you will pay, BENDIS is the clearest option. In Northern Europe, Sense Company publishes its monthly fees. And for multinational chains, Ambius and Mood Media are still the benchmarks.
