Buying guide: how to choose your professional BENDIS diffuser
Choosing well comes down to three things: the size of the space, how the unit will be placed, and the type of business. This guide walks you through all three.
1. By size of the space
Coverage is the main criterion, and it is better to go over than under: covering 200 m² with a 600 m² unit beats the other way around, because a diffuser pushed to its limit always runs at full power and uses more fragrance.
- Up to 4 m² (small restrooms, cars, booths): BENDIS ROAM, cord-free
- Up to 7 m² (bathrooms, fitting rooms): BENDIS PULSE
- Up to 60-100 m² (private offices, small stores, meeting rooms): BENDIS AURA 5, SENSE or LUME
- Up to 120 m² (offices, small restaurants): BENDIS FLOW
- Up to 600 m² (lobbies, gyms, large stores): BENDIS ORBIT or ATMOS
- Up to 800-875 m² (sports centers, hotels): BENDIS HALO or WAVE
- Up to 1,600 m² (big-box stores, warehouses): BENDIS NOVA
2. By type of placement
Tabletop or wall-mounted: most models go in with no installation work, simply plugged in. They arrive preconfigured and are up and running in 5 minutes. This is the usual setup in stores, offices and small hotels.
HVAC integration: for spaces with central air, the high-end models connect to the duct and spread the scent throughout the building with no visible equipment.
Rechargeable battery: the BENDIS ROAM runs cord-free, handy where you would rather not show any cables, or for events.
3. By type of business
Hotels
ORBIT or HALO in the lobby and FLOW in the guest-room hallways. A single signature fragrance across every area builds identity. More on hotels.
Restaurants
FLOW or SENSE in the dining room, depending on the square meters. Odor neutralizer in the kitchen, back office and restrooms. Separate schedules for lunch and dinner service. More on restaurants.
Offices and coworking spaces
SENSE or FLOW depending on floor area. Citrus or green tea notes in work areas, something warmer in break areas. More on offices.
Gyms
HALO or WAVE for large floor areas, plus an odor neutralizer in the locker rooms, which always need a unit of their own. More on gyms.
Clinics and spas
PULSE in the restrooms and FLOW in the waiting room. Soft notes, lavender or green tea, at low intensity. Never in treatment rooms or sterile areas. More on clinics.
Retail
FLOW or SENSE for 50-120 m². The fragrance should match the brand's positioning and never be overpowering. More on stores.
4. Buy or rent
You can buy the unit outright and own it, or take it on rental from €29.90/month + VAT, which includes the fragrance and the monthly refill, with no upfront investment and no lock-in. If you are going to have several units or several locations, rental usually works out better because it does not tie up capital.
