Before writing a unit off as broken, this list solves the vast majority of cases. It runs from the most likely cause to the least.
1. Your nose has adapted
This is the number one cause and it has nothing to do with the unit. Spend hours in the same room and you stop noticing the scent. Step outside for five minutes and walk back in. If you notice it on the way in, the unit is working fine and nothing needs changing.
2. The nozzle is blocked
Product residue builds up in the opening. The unit runs but no mist comes out. A circuit clean with isopropyl alcohol solves it, following the manual for your model.
3. The suction tube is not reaching the product
When you change the bottle, the tube can end up bent or sitting too high. Check that it reaches the bottom and that it is not kinked.
4. There is less product left than it looks
With the bottle in place, the real level is hard to see. If the tube is not in the liquid, the unit is running dry.
5. The bottle is not closed properly
If air gets in through the thread, the pump loses pressure and stops misting. Tighten it by hand, without forcing it.
6. The unit is paused by its schedule
Very common: the programmed hours do not match the moment you are looking at it, or today is not one of the active days. Check the schedule in the app or on the display.
7. The intensity is too low for the space
If you have moved the unit into a larger room, with a higher ceiling or more air movement, the same setting no longer works. Raise it one step and wait 48 hours.
8. Low battery or not enough power
On models with a battery or cells, the unit reduces its output as the charge drops, before shutting down. On USB models, a low-power charger can cause the same symptom. Use the cable and charger supplied with the unit.
