How to measure a room to choose a diffuser
- Multiply the room's length by its width. If it is L-shaped, calculate each part and add them up.
- Only count as one space what is open to each other. Living room and kitchen with no door, yes. Living room and bedroom, no.
- If the ceiling is over 3 metres, go up to the next model. There is more air to fill.
- Choose the unit whose coverage sits just above your figure, without going far over.
What happens if the diffuser is too small or too big
If it is too small, you notice the scent next to the unit but it does not reach the other end of the room. Turning up the intensity does not extend the range: it just uses more fragrance in the same spot.
If it is too big, the home becomes saturated. The scent stops being a pleasant background and becomes tiring, especially for anyone who spends many hours inside. Turning the intensity right down helps, but the setting becomes more delicate. Better to match the size to the room.
Whole flat: how many diffusers you need
