In Santorini almost every luxury stay faces the caldera. In Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani and Fira many suites are carved into the volcanic rock: vaulted ceilings, little ventilation and walls that hold on to moisture. They are small, beautiful rooms, but left alone they smell closed-up, especially at the start of the season in April or after a few days without guests. The order here is clear: neutralize first, then a soft fragrance at low intensity.
The rest of the island has a different rhythm. How much does it cost to scent a cave hotel in Santorini?
It depends on the number of suites. Each suite up to 80 m² is covered by a SENSE (89,99 €), each bathroom by a PULSE with neutralizer (72,99 €) and a large reception by an ORBIT (149,99 €), VAT included and paid once. After that you only pay for fragrance: 34,99 € for a 250 ml refill or 31,49 € a month on subscription.
Why do rock-cut suites smell damp?
Because volcanic stone holds moisture and these rooms have little natural ventilation. Adding perfume on top just mixes smells. What works is a neutralizer that removes the closed-up smell and, once the suite smells clean, a soft fragrance at low intensity.
What intensity suits small rooms with low ceilings?
Low, in short cycles. The scent should be noticeable when you walk in and fade after a while, without weighing on the air while the guest sleeps. In the app you set a higher intensity before check-in and lower it at night.
How long does delivery to Santorini take, and are there customs duties?
