Buying guide: how to choose your BENDIS professional diffuser

Choosing well depends on three things: the size of the space, how the diffuser will be placed and the type of business. This guide takes you through all three.

1. By size of space

Coverage is the main criterion, and it is better to go over than under: it is better to cover 200 m² with a 600 m² diffuser than the other way round, because a diffuser at its limit always runs at maximum and uses more.

  • Up to 4 m² (small toilets, car, booth): BENDIS ROAM, cordless
  • Up to 7 m² (bathrooms, fitting rooms): BENDIS PULSE
  • Up to 60-100 m² (private offices, small shops, rooms): BENDIS AURA 5, SENSE or LUME
  • Up to 120 m² (offices, small restaurants): BENDIS FLOW
  • Up to 600 m² (lobbies, gyms, large shops): BENDIS ORBIT or ATMOS
  • Up to 800-875 m² (sports centres, hotels): BENDIS HALO or WAVE
  • Up to 1,600 m² (large stores, warehouses): BENDIS NOVA

2. By type of placement

Tabletop or wall: most models are placed with no building work, simply by plugging them in. They arrive configured and are up and running in 5 minutes. This is the norm in shops, offices and small hotels.

HVAC integration: for spaces with central air conditioning, the ATMOS and the HALO connect to the duct and spread the scent throughout the building with no visible units.

Floor-standing tower: the WAVE and the NOVA stand upright in the space itself, with no building work and no ducts. They only need a socket.

Rechargeable battery: the BENDIS ROAM works cordless, useful where you don't want visible cables or for events.

3. By type of business

Hotels

ORBIT or HALO in the lobby and FLOW in floor corridors. A single corporate fragrance across all zones to build identity. More about hotels.

Restaurants

FLOW or SENSE in the dining room, depending on size. Neutralizer in the kitchen, back office and toilets. Different schedules for lunch and dinner. More about restaurants.

Offices and coworking spaces

SENSE or FLOW depending on floor area. Citrus or green tea notes in work areas, something warmer in break areas. More about offices.

Gyms

HALO or WAVE for large areas, with neutralizer in changing rooms, which always need a separate diffuser. More about gyms.

Clinics and spas

PULSE in toilets and FLOW in the waiting room. Soft notes, lavender or green tea, at low intensity. Never in treatment rooms or sterile areas. More about clinics.

Retail

FLOW or SENSE for 50-120 m². The fragrance should be consistent with the brand's positioning and never too intense. More about shops.

4. Buy or monthly plan

You can buy the diffuser and own it, or take it on a monthly scenting plan from €29.90/month + VAT, which includes the fragrance and monthly refill, with no upfront investment and no minimum term. The monthly plan is available in Spain and Portugal; elsewhere in Europe, buying the diffuser is the way to go, and we ship it to you. If you will have several diffusers or several sites, the plan usually works out better because it doesn't tie up capital.
