Care home scenting and odour control in Zaragoza

Short answer: in Zaragoza the hardest time for odour in a care home is winter: cold, the cierzo wind and windows shut with the heating on. It is solved by neutralising continuously in bathrooms, corridors and affected rooms with cold-air nebulisers, and scenting only the entrance. From €29.90 + VAT a month per area, with diffuser and product included.

BENDIS fragrances and neutralisers are made in Zuera, about 25 km from Zaragoza, so for a care home in Aragón the product literally comes from next door. And we know the climate: the cierzo means nobody wants to open a window in a lounge full of older people in winter, and in summer it easily goes above 35 °C. Either way the air is renewed little, and odours from bathrooms and rooms end up in the corridors.

Zaragoza has care homes in established neighbourhoods such as Delicias, Las Fuentes, San José or the Actur, many in adapted buildings from the 1970s and 80s, and newer centres in Valdespartera, Arcosur or nearby towns such as Utebo and Cuarte. In the older ones, drains and downpipes add a sewer smell to the urine odour: the Jasmine neutraliser covers both.
