You have cleaned it. You have used the air freshener. You have opened the window. And ten minutes later it smells again. If that sounds familiar, the problem is not a dirty bathroom: you are treating the symptom and not the cause.
The real causes of bathroom odour
The drain trap. This is the curved section that holds water and creates a barrier against odours from the sewage network. If the bathroom goes unused for days (a holiday home, a second bathroom), the water evaporates and the odours rise freely. The fix: run water down every drain once a week.
Bacteria on damp surfaces. They live in shower seals, bath bases and behind the toilet. They are invisible and constant. Cleaning with bleach removes them temporarily, but they grow back within hours if the room does not ventilate properly.
Poor ventilation. A badly ventilated bathroom builds up moisture, which encourages mould and bacteria. The extractor fan should keep running for at least fifteen minutes after the bathroom has been used. Where there is no extractor fan, trapped moisture is the main source of the odour.
Why conventional air fresheners do not work
Sprays create particles that fall to the floor within minutes. Reed diffusers, in a small space with little air movement, can hold up reasonably well, but only against mild, constant odours, not against peaks.
Automatic spray air fresheners are the most common choice in business washrooms, and they give off a chemical smell that many customers find just as unpleasant as the problem itself. What is more, fragrance laid over a bad smell does not cover it: it mixes with it.
The solution
A compact nebuliser in the bathroom, with a neutralising refill, acts continuously on the molecules that cause the odour. Micro-particles of 1 to 10 microns reach the whole volume of the room (corners, behind the toilet, shower seals) and eliminate the odour instead of masking it.
In a business, the washroom is the most critical point of all: it is where the customer judges you alone and without distractions, and where you lose reviews without anyone telling you why.
On a monthly scenting plan, from €29.90/month + VAT per unit, with the refill included and replaced monthly. No minimum term and no upfront investment. The unit is set up in five minutes, with no building work and no technical visit.
