How to programme your diffuser from the BENDIS app

Tu hogar conectado y perfumado: cómo integrar tu difusor BENDIS inteligente en el día a día - BENDIS

Most people use their diffuser by hand: they switch it on when they remember and off when they remember. It works, but it misses the one thing that really makes a space smell good: consistency.

Compatible models are configured from the BENDIS app, the app that lets you set schedules, intensity and diffusion cycles from your phone. It is free for iPhone and Android, and needs no sign-up.

Getting started

  • Download the BENDIS app. No account is needed.
  • Switch on the diffuser with the reservoir filled and bring your phone close.
  • Add the unit in the app with "Add device" and Bluetooth turned on. The diffuser's initial password is 1234.
  • Give it a name (living room, reception, bathroom) if you will have more than one.
  • Create your first schedule at low intensity and adjust afterwards.

The app works over Bluetooth, with no internet connection: the schedule is stored in the diffuser, so it keeps working on its own even when you close the app.

What you can set from the app

  • Schedules. What time it starts and what time it stops, with different time slots depending on the day.
  • Intensity. How much fragrance is released with each pulse.
  • Work and rest cycles. Seconds of diffusion and minutes of pause. This is what stops the space becoming saturated, and what most affects consumption.
  • On and off without having to touch the unit.
  • Fragrance level alerts on the models that include it, above all those for medium and large spaces. This is the feature that prevents the most common failure in a business: the bottle running out on a Friday with nobody noticing until Monday.

You will find the step-by-step video, along with the tutorials for each model, on the tutorials page. And if you would rather read it, every unit has its instruction manual as a PDF, with the scheduling explained button by button.

How to make the most of it at home

  • Bedroom: gentle cycles an hour before you go to bed and off overnight. There is no need for it to run while you sleep.
  • Hallway: this is where the scent registers most, because you notice it as you walk in. A scheduled start half an hour before you get home does all the work.
  • Living areas: medium, steady intensity during the hours you are at home.
  • Weekends: different time slots from weekdays, because that is when the house is used differently.

The adjustment almost nobody makes

Start low. The sense of smell adapts within minutes, so whoever lives in the house stops noticing the scent while anyone walking in finds it excessive. The sensible approach is to set it below what your instinct tells you and turn it up a few days later if needed, preferably after asking someone who does not live there.

And review it seasonally: in summer the fragrance disperses faster and is perceived more strongly, so January's settings are too much in August.

Which unit

The exact features depend on the model and are listed on each product page, within the diffuser collection. For the home, the units are in the home section; for business, on a monthly scenting plan from €29.90/month + VAT per unit, refills included and with no minimum term.

If you want the full guidance on scheduling, including use in commercial premises, it is in programmable diffusers.
