Choosing the fragrance matters as much as choosing the equipment. The wrong scent can be worse than no scent at all; the right one transforms how a space is perceived. This guide covers how to decide.
Why the fragrance counts as much as the technology
You can own the best nebuliser on the market, but if the fragrance does not fit your space, your audience and your objective, the result will not be the one you expect. Smell acts directly on the limbic system, the part of the brain that handles emotions and memories, and the right choice creates the feeling you are after: comfort, energy, freshness, warmth or calm.
The BENDIS catalogue is organised into two lines (naturally inspired notes and a fine perfumery line) plus a line of neutralisers for sources of bad smell.
One clarification before we start
Our fragrances are professional perfumery compositions, not pure essential oils. They are formulated specifically for cold nebulisation, which is what guarantees stable diffusion and a long service life for the equipment. When we talk about "natural" notes we mean the olfactory character (lavender, citrus, green tea), not the composition of the product.
The natural notes line
Lavender. The classic register of calm. Ideal for bedrooms, wellness centres, spas and clinics, and in general for any space where you want to lower the tempo.
Green Tea. Freshness, cleanliness and discreet sophistication. It is the most universal fragrance in the catalogue: it does not polarise and practically every customer profile responds well to it. Ideal for entrances, hotel receptions and offices. If you do not know where to start, start here.
Jasmine. A sweet floral that never becomes cloying. Natural elegance. It works in fashion boutiques, bedrooms, spas and lifestyle spaces.
Cinnamon and Orange. Comfort par excellence: warm, enveloping, associated with home. Ideal for living rooms, traditional restaurants and any space where you want to make people feel welcome.
Coconut. Exotic warmth and summer. Popular in beach hotels, holiday fashion and lifestyle spaces.
Mint. Energy and a sense of clear-headedness. Ideal for offices, home working areas and gyms.
Lemon. A stimulating citrus with a direct association to cleanliness. For kitchens, washrooms and workspaces where you want to convey hygiene.
Cappuccino. Coffee is one of the most universally positive smells there is: the start of the day, productivity, pleasure. For cafés, break-out areas and breakfast rooms.
Fig, Mango and Orange Blossom. Three distinct and very versatile profiles. Fig, sophisticated and Mediterranean. Mango, tropical and energising. Orange blossom, a soft floral associated with spring and freshness.
The fine perfumery line
This is a numbered range of fragrances inspired by the great families of contemporary perfumery. They are not copies: the aim is to capture the olfactory universe (woody, oriental, amber, aquatic) and translate it into a format suited to continuous diffusion in a space.
Woody and mineral. For premium offices, luxury boutiques and high-end hotels.
Sweet and spiced. For premium spaces with character, fashion shops and design hotels.
Oriental and amber. For boutique hotels with a strong identity, signature restaurants and night-time venues.
Aquatic and citrus. For minimalist spaces, aesthetic clinics and wellness centres.
Aromatic and fresh. For young fashion, premium gyms and lifestyle spaces.
Neutralisers are not fragrances
This is the most common confusion. If you have a source of bad smell (a pet, damp, cooking, a closed-up room), what you need is not a more intense fragrance: it is a neutraliser, which acts chemically on the molecules that cause the smell and breaks them down.
The right order is to neutralise first and scent afterwards. The other way round, the fragrance mixes with the bad smell and the result is perceived as worse than the original problem. How neutralisation works.
